From here: http://pzolee.blogs.balabit.com/2010/07/grub-helyreallitas-titkositott-es-lvm-particiok-eseten/

* Boot Debian 6.0 CD into Rescue Mode
* Choose no root filesystem
* Go to Shell
* mkdir /mnt/system
* cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/<LVM> system
* vgscan
* vgchange -ay
* mount /dev/mapper/<root> /mnt/system
* mount /dev/sda<BOOT> /mnt/system/boot
* mount -o bind /dev/ /mnt/system/dev/
* mount -o bind /proc/ /mnt/system/proc/
* chroot /mnt/system
* grub-install /dev/sda
* update-grub

To work under Debian 7, I had to do it this way:

* Boot Debian 7
* Go to Shell
* mkdir /mnt/system
* cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/<LVM> system
* apt-get install lvm2
* vgscan
* vgchange -ay
* mount /dev/mapper/<root> /mnt/system
* mount /dev/sda<BOOT> /mnt/system/boot
* mount -o bind /dev/ /mnt/system/dev/
* mount -o bind /proc/ /mnt/system/proc/
* chroot /mnt/system
* grub-install /dev/sda
* update-grub
